Hans Hofele – Editor in Chief
ENG Hans Hofele, M.A., studied theater, film studies and history in Bochum. He works as an editor at the public broadcaster in Frankfurt am Main. He has worked on several documentaries and reports for ARD, ZDF, hr, arte and kika. Since the founding of Culture Africa, he has collaborated and partnered with the Heroe Book Fair in Mombasa, the African Book Festival in Berlin, the 72 Heures de Livre in Conakry and the Frankfurt Book Fair. He has written numerous interviews, book reviews, reports and articles for Culture Africa and has published texts in several newspapers, including Südwestpresse, Frankfurter Neue Presse, Stuttgarter Zeitung and Badische Zeitung. He also does translations from English to German for newspaper articles.
DE Hans Hofele, M.A., studierte Theater- und Filmwissenschaft sowie Geschichte in Bochum. Er arbeitet als Editor beim Öffentlich-Rechtlichen Rundfunk in Frankfurt am Main. Er hat an mehreren Dokumentationen und Reportagen für ARD, ZDF, hr, arte und kika mitgearbeitet. Seit der Gründung von Culture Africa ist er Mitarbeiter und Partner der Heroe Book Fair in Mombasa, des African Book Festival in Berlin, der 72 Heures de Livre in Conakry und der Frankfurter Buchmesse. Er hat zahlreiche Interviews, Buchbesprechungen, Reportagen und Artikel für Culture Africa geschrieben und Texte in mehreren Zeitungen veröffentlicht, darunter die Südwestpresse, die Frankfurter Neue Presse, die Stuttgarter Zeitung und die Badische Zeitung. Außerdem übersetzt er Zeitungsartikel aus dem Englischen ins Deutsche.

Lorna Likiza – Contributor/Associate Editor
ENG Lorna Likiza is a Kenyan Writer, Online Tutor of French, Founder of Heroe Book Fair and Children Book Author of Oi Gets Lost from The Oi Series for ages 8-12. Her Nonfiction works have been featured in Literary and Cultural Journals in Africa and Overseas such as Agbowo, the defunct Arts and Africa, Barren Magazine, Down River Road, Aniko Press, Culture Africa, Decolonial Passage and Debunk Media. She regularly contributes to the Frankfurt based newspaper, Frankfurter Rundschau and has previously contributed to the Berlin based newspapers, Junge Welt and Jungle World. She was a speaker at the Polyglot Conference Global 2023 where she presented a talk titled; Africans Are Polyglots and the World Needs to Acknowledge This.
